FAQs

Frequently asked questions:

Q:  What should I do first?
A:  First check out my gallery and see if you like my style.  I've collected some images on my pintrest page to give you an additional idea of what my style is and also to give you ideas and inspiration. Then start gathering images of what you imagine for your room.  I work best when I can look at images and in the end you end up with exactly what you wanted.

Q:  What's the next step?
A:  Contact me!  You can email me and tell me what you have in mind and there we can exchange contact information like phone numbers and such.  From there we'll set up a time to meet where I can see your space and talk about the project.

Q:  What is your process?

A:  It really depends on the job. If it's something man made like a building or a spaceship or even if the client wants an exact image like Spiderman or Tinkerbell I would use a projector.  If its something in nature like a tree or flowers I would free hand it with chalk to make sure my dimensions are right then I add the paint.  I would also free hand it if its something custom, say you like a tree from one image but the birds from another.  If I can use a projector I will simply because It's faster and in the end I think that benefits both parties.

Q:  How much do you charge?
A:  It honestly depends on the mural.  I personally want to have an idea of what to expect and I've tried to give that to you.  If you look at my price tab I've listed what I've charged in the past and why.  There are a lot of factors in the price, mostly size and detail.  If its small and simple with one color, like a
silhouette or stencil $100-$250.  If it's an entire wall with more colors, more detail, high ceilings where there is a lot of ladder work $300-$500.  If it's a huge mural (min of 20 feet) with lots of custom scenic work $1,000-$4,000.

Q:  Do you travel?
A:  I can travel anywhere in the Oklahoma City area with no problem.  If it's in the Dallas area I would add on travel expenses (gas) to the cost and if its outside either of those areas the client would be expected to pay for gas and sleeping accommodations.

Q:  Who pays for the paint, me or you?
A:  You, however if I have paints in my collection that will work in your space I'd be happy to use them free of charge.  I hate wasting materials and I myself like to save money where ever I can.  My prices are labor only, the price of paint is not included so if you don't trust yourself to get the right shade of paint or simply don't want to mess with it I would be happy to pick it up and we can add the cost onto to final bill.  Generally I would leave you enough for touch ups and add the left over paint to my collection but if you want to keep it all that's perfectly acceptable as well.

Q:  When are payments due?
A:   In general I usually require half when I start and the other half once the project is finished.

Q:  Do you only paint murals?

A:   No!  I can do dressers and head boards as well.  I also paint on canvas so if you live in an apartment or just like the look of it I can do original artwork for you as well.  It's a bit cheaper too because I would be working in the comfort of my home and wouldn't have to factor in the cost of travel.
